Real Style Wedding

Published in Real Weddings Style, Annual Collector’s Edition 2009/10 – On a warm summer’s afternoon, Victoria and Stavros fulfilled their dream of exchanging vows under a floral arch in Melbourne’s Botanic Gardens. Decorated with beautifully fragrant flowers and olive branches, the wrought iron arbour stood at the end of an aisle lined with flower balls of white gerberas and roses suspended from stands with floating ribbons.

As part of a surprise birthday present for Victoria, Stavros’ proposal included a new puppy and a beautiful engagement ring! Inspired by the 1920s, Victoria’s stunning gown featured an intricately beaded bodice of pearls and Swarovski crystals and bias cut skirt which included 30 metres of fabric falling into a two metre train. A matching netting headpiece scattered with crystals and beading completed the full length tulle veil. Stavros wore a silver tie complemented by a darker charcoal patterned waist coat. The bridesmaids’ full length dresses in royal purple added a splash of colour. A sophisticated theme of silver and ivory was carried throughout the wedding, from the invitation covered with French beaded Chantilly lace to the stunning tiered wedding cake. Name tag stands featured decorative crystal bases and heart shaped detailing.
